Erica Fry, doctoral candidate at UT Austin and member of the #TosteTeam, is recruiting special education teachers who will be in the 1st or 2nd year in fall 2023. For her dissertation study, she is investigating the impact and feasibility of an online professional learning community (PLC) for early career special educators. The EXPERT PLC aims to improve educator’s knowledge of data-based instruction (DBI), while also attending to stress management and overall sense of wellbeing. This five-week online PLC includes social-emotional learning strategies for educators directly integrated within content to build expertise in DBI and intensive intervention.
