Reading Games to Play at Home

Educational experts at the Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk (MCPER) have created videos to help parents and guardians use effective practices to teach students at home due to COVID-19.



Dr. Toste contributed a video that introduces four games that can be played at home

to help promote early reading skills. Novice readers are learning skills to help them become fluent in word reading. As children learn these new skills, they need lots of structured opportunities to practice. This practice can (and should) be fun!
